While carrying your phone charger with you everywhere is possible today, the availability of wall sockets to plug it in is a different matter altogether. This is where power banks step in. These handy gadgets sport a compact form factor for the most part, and store way more power than the average smartphone battery. Which means you can charge your phone, or any other device that can be charged via a USB Type-C port, several times over.
However, carrying a wire for it can be a hassle all the same too. Considering the same, Xiaomi has just launched a new power bank with an in-built USB Type-C cable. Here’s all you need to know about it.
Xiaomi 20,000mAh power bank: Features and key specifications
Xiaomi’s latest power bank comes with a 20,000mAh capacity, meaning it can charge the average smartphone with a 5,000mAh battery (as has become the staple across most segments today), nearly four times over. What’s more, it also gets 33W fast charging support.

The power bank, along with the in-built USB Type-C cable, also gets another USB Type-C port and a USB Type-A port as well, which means you can charge three devices simultaneously with it. The USB Type-C port is also used to charge the power bank itself, with 30W input support.
Bear in mind though, the in-built cable isn’t replaceable. Therefore, you’ll be able to charge only two devices if the cable breaks. Secondly, how the 33W output is split while charging three devices together, Xiaomi doesn’t mention. But, it does get protective measures that cut off the power supply in case the power bank overheats or short circuits, ensuring the safety of your devices at all times.
What’s also cool is, the power bank is relatively compact, only about 1.2 inches thick. This means you can carry it around in your pockets with ease.
Xiaomi 20,000mAh power bank: Pricing and availability
Xiaomi’s latest power bank is currently available only in the Chinese market. Available in beige and dark blue colourways, it is priced at 159 Yuan, or roughly Rs 1,830. However, the company makes no mention of when the accessory will hit the shelves in other international markets, including India, if at all.
