Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5G Series launched in India

Redmi, the Xiaomi sub-brand, which primarily focuses on entry-level and mid-range smartphones has officially launched its Redmi Note 12 5G line-up in India. This series includes three devices – Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. The line-up has been designed bearing in mind different price points and usage.

Redmi Note 12 specifications, features

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 12 is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset and Adreno 610 GPU with options for both, a 4GB or a 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage. The midrange Redmi Note 12 Pro and top-of-the-line 12 Pro+ are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.

While the Note 12 Pro features an 8GB RAM with either a 128 GB or 256GB ROM, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is offered with two RAM options – 8/12GB and 256GB storage. All three devices run on Android 12 based on the MIUI 13 OS straight out-of-the-box.

While all three smartphones feature a 5,000mAh battery, the Redmi Note 12 comes with a 33W fast charger in the box, whereas the Note 12 Pro and Pro+ are offered with 67W and 120W chargers in the box respectively.

They both also support a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The highlight, however, is that the 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ devices also feature support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
