Xiaomi Redmi 14C affordable smartphone announced

Xiaomi has announced its latest smartphone in the global market, called the Redmi 14C. The new affordable Redmi phone comes with a lot of interesting specifications. Here’s everything you need to know about it.  

Redmi 14C: What’s new? 

The Redmi 14C sports a 6.88-inch HD+ screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio display. It provides up to 600 nits of peak brightness with DC dimming. The phone also has a TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free certifications. 

Under the hood, we have a MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra SoC, along with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. There’s also a ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU and a 5,160mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The Redmi 14C comes with Android 14 topped with Xiaomi’s HyperOS skin.

Coming to the cameras, the new Redmi smartphone features a 50MP main camera, and a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calls.  

The Redmi 14C is available in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM variants, with 128GB and 256GB internal storage options. The Android phone offers up to 1TB expandable memory with a microSD card.  

Redmi 14C: Price and availability 

The Redmi 14C is priced starting at USD 119 (about Rs 9,980), and is available in Midnight Black, Dreamy Purple and Sage Green colours, with the latter offering a leather-matte texture. There’s also a Starry Blue with a star trail design. The phone is already available in Vietnam, but Xiaomi is yet to mention global availability of the device.
