Only days into the new year, Xiaomi has debuted its flagship Pad 7 tablet in India. The tablets were formerly announced at a global event in October, but have only now made their way to the Indian market. Apart from a design overhaul, the Xiaomi Pad 7 tablet puts a spotlight on AI features and gets boosted performance. Here’s everything you need to know about its specifications, price range and availability details.

Xiaomi Pad 7: What's there to know?

For starters, the Xiaomi Pad 7 comes with a large display of 11.2 inches. It boasts of a 3.2K resolution and comes with an all-new Nano Texture coating. According to the brand, the Nano Texture is instrumental in reducing reflection without compromising the vibrancy or colour accuracy of the final output.

If that’s not all, the company also mentions how the display this time gets a unique ‘paper-like’ texture, making it suitable for long hours of reading. Additionally, it comes with a 144Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate for smooth visuals.

Speaking about performance, Xiaomi has equipped the tablet with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, which is capable of handling heavy games along with other day-to-day activities. Keeping gamers in mind, the brand has thrown in a Game Turbo mode, which can automatically adjust settings such as display brightness, visuals and refresh rates when a user is gaming on the tablet.

On the entertainment front, the tablet gets a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, which the brand claims can give users access to Hi-Res Audio streaming alongside crystal-clear visuals. Xiaomi has provided the tablet with a 13MP primary rear camera and the tablet additionally comes with an 8MP front, ultra-wide camera for video calls and selfies.

The tablet ships with Android 15-based HypersOS 2 and gets a bunch of AI-powered features as well, like AI Writing and AI Live Subtitles. Lastly, the Xiaomi Pad 7 comes with an 8,850mAh battery capacity and also has 45W fast charging support for quick recharging.

Xiaomi Pad 7: Price and availability

The Xiaomi Pad 7 is available in three configurations; these include the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, whic is priced at Rs 26,999; a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant for Rs 29,999; and the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, which gets the Nano Texture Glass Display, for Rs 31,999. 

The tablets can be purchased in three distinct colourways, such as Graphite Grey, Mirage Purple, and Sage Green. Xiaomi has also unveiled tablet accessories, such as Xiaomi Pad 7 Cover, Xiaomi Pad 7 Focus Pen and Focus Keyboard that are compatible with the tablet. These can be purchased at Rs 1,499, Rs 5,999 and Rs 8,999, respectively.

Xiaomi mentions that the Pad 7 will be available for purchase starting January 13. However, the Xiaomi Pad 7 with Nano Texture Glass Display, Xiaomi Pad 7 Focus Pen, and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro Focus Keyboard, can be purchased only in February 2025. They will be available on the brand’s official websites, along with authorised Xiaomi retail stores in India. That said, Xiaomi’s Nano Texture Pad 7 variant will only be available online.
