Xiaomi HyperOS timeline: Check which phones will be eligible for the update

Not too long ago, Xiaomi announced how its smartphones in India will now be able to enjoy HyperOS, replacing the brand’s iconic MIUI skin. However, users anticipating the big update can now mark their calendars, as it is scheduled to be rolled out to many smartphones and tablets over the course of the next couple of months.

The Android 14-based update made its debut with the Xiaomi 14 series that the brand announced in China only recently. However, Xiaomi has further rolled out a list of devices that will be eligible for this update at the MWC 2024. Xiaomi HyperOS: Is your phone eligible for the update?

The Chinese OEM (original equipment manufacturer) mentioned how the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13T, Xiaomi 12 as well as the Xiaomi 12T will receive the stable version of the update as early as the first half of 2024. Further, it was also highlighted how a few of the Redmi phones, including the Redmi Note 13 5G and the Redmi Note 12 5G series, will also be able to enjoy HyperOS update. Xiaomi HyperOS: What other devices will get the update?

The new HyperOS update will bring forth a refreshed look to the devices, and expected features include AI assistance, such as text generation and text extraction from images, along with image search. 

Those eligible for the update will receive it through an on-screen notification, after which users can simply follow the step-by-step procedure to update their devices.
