Samsung’s new Galaxy S24 series smartphones also debuted the brand’s newest software update – One UI 6.1. The Android-based Samsung skin comes with a bunch of new features, more customisation options and other changes.
However, the new flagships are not the only phones to get the upgrade. Phones from the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 series as well as some of the Galaxy Z-series flip and fold phones are set to get the update next.

Samsung phones next in line to receive the update
Samsung Galaxy S23 series: The Samsung Galaxy S23 series phones are next in line to receive the One UI 6.1 update. As per a SamMobile report, the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are set to receive the update in the first quarter of 2024. The Galaxy S23 FE is also expected to get the update before H2 2024.

Samsung Galaxy S22 and S21 series: The Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series phones are expected to get the One UI update before H2 2024, which suggests the phones in the S22 series and S21 series could get the update by July 2024, if not before.
Samsung Galaxy Z series: The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are set to get the One UI 6.1 update in the first quarter of 2024. However, Samsung has not yet confirmed when older foldables phones will get the new update.
Other phones: Many other Samsung phones like the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 are also set to get the update. However, Samsung is yet to confirm any release timelines for these phones.
One UI 6.1: What’s new?
One UI 61 brings new additions like better customisation options for the home screen and lock screen, a unified Quick Share mode for quickly sharing files and media to other Android devices, and new transitions across the UI.

One UI 6.1 also brings a bunch of AI features to the S24, at least some of which will be coming to select older Samsung Galaxy smartphones. These include Chat Assist, AI-powered image editing and summarising abilities in the Notes app.
