Of all the AI chatbots that have come up over the years, Meta AI has been one of the rather interesting ones thanks to its integration with Meta apps like WhatsApp. This allows users (of one of the most frequented apps) to basically access AI help without leaving the application. Now, Meta AI on WhatsApp is set to get better at communicating.
As per WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on bringing voice chat abilities, right to the Meta AI chat window.

This will let WhatsApp users talk to Meta AI, rather than enter their queries by typing, although that should still be an available option. The feature will work similarly to the Voice Chat option on ChatGPT, which basically lets you do the same thing.
Meta AI Voice Chat: What’s new?
The key feature here, is that the new Meta AI feature will work seamlessly within WhatsApp. So, when you’re speaking to a friend and planning an outing, creating an itinerary will be as easy as going to the Meta AI chat and “telling” Meta AI about your plans for the upcoming long-weekend.
Those creating images will also likely be able to dictate their prompts, and get as accurate and precise as they want without having to type say, 50 words, making the whole process much easier.

The report suggests that the feature is now going live to those using WhatsApp beta on iPhones and Android Phones. Those on the beta should see a new green ‘voice’ button next to their typing boxes. If you don’t, you can check if you have updated to the latest beta version of the app.
This also probably means stable channel WhatsApp users should get the update within the next few months. However, this is just speculation on our part, and the feature could take longer to go live depending on any bugs.
