And if you’ve already been using WhatsApp in dark mode, the instant messaging platform will soon offer an improved interface for web users as well.
According to Wabetainfo, the move comes in to introduce a more visually appealing aesthetic for the web client and to further enhance its functionality. Here’s everything you need to know about it:
WhatsApp web dark mode: What improvements should you expect?
WhatsApp is all set to introduce a fresh colour scheme for its web client user interface. Apart from playing a role in enhancing the visual appeal of the desktop app, it additionally aims to complement the overall design elements as well.
The subtle, yet impactful, colour shift will play a significant role in reducing eye discomfort during long hours of exposure. This colour scheme will also be particularly beneficial for low-light usage.

According to the report, the WhatsApp web dark mode will transition from #111b20 to #12181c and will maintain consistency across all its platforms.
Who can use the improved WhatsApp dark mode?
The update appears to be still in development; however, it will soon be rolled out for WhatsApp web beta users. Apart from this, it also recently unveiled the ‘sidebar’ feature for its web users for added convenience.
With this and other features being introduced, WhatsApp continues to add design and technology enhancements to make the user experience a memorable one. And while the update is yet to reach our screens, we can’t wait to see what else is in store with WhatsApp in the upcoming new year.
