It’s been eight years since video calling functionalities were first introduced on WhatsApp. Since then, the Meta-owned instant messaging platform has gotten several new features to take on more mainstream video conferencing apps, including the ability to share one’s screen, AR calling effects, the ability to add as many as 32 participants on a call in one go, and more.
And now, it’s getting another two new features which could potentially be a saviour for most of us some time or the other. Namely, filters and backgrounds for video calls. Here’s all you need to know.
