WhatsApp will now let you create your very own selfie stickers

WhatsApp introduced some interesting features last year, from the ability to create custom stickers to adding an AI chatbot to the app dubbed Meta AI. This year, WhatsApp has planned to offer more such useful features, and it’s now rolling out selfie stickers.

Selfie stickers allow users to convert their selfies into shareable stickers on the platform, fueling interactions. Here’s everything you need to know about the feature, and how you can use it.

How to create selfie stickers on WhatsApp

As of now, WhatsApp allows users to create custom stickers. The feature was introduced last year, making users ditch third-party apps to create stickers of their choice. Now, the feature is getting updated with the ability to create shareable selfie stickers.

While you can covert selfies into stickers by select your selfie from the gallery, WhatsApp has now added a dedicated camera option to let you quickly click a selfie. Once you click a selfie, you can create your selfie sticker.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can create selfie stickers on WhatsApp.

Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your Android smartphone.

Step 2: Open a chat.

Step 3: Tap on the sticker icon.

Step 4: Tap on Create and you should see a camera option. Tap on it and click a selfie.

Step 5: Once done hit next and your selfie will be converted into a shareable sticker.

Users can share their selfie stickers with their friends and family members, allowing them to interact better on the platform. Notably, the feature is currently limited to Android, but it should arrive on iPhones soon.

Apart from this, WhatsApp has also introduced the ability to share sticker packs with others. To do that, all you need to do is click on the sticker pack you want to share and tap on the three dots next to the sticker pack’s name. Then tap send.
