Vivo’s Y series is thriving with new and improved mid-range smartphones, and the brand just expanded it with the latest addition: Vivo Y39. The news comes in shortly after unveiling the Vivo Y19e to the Indian market only a few weeks ago.

The all-new smartphone boasts the segment’s largest 6,500 mAh battery pack, along with other impressive features and a Snapdragon chipset. Wondering if the phone is meant for you? Well, look no further, as we have all the details you need right here. 

Vivo Y39 5G: Key features and specifications

To begin with, the Vivo Y39 5G gets a large, 6.68-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. Apart from that, it promises up to 1,000 nits of brightness for outdoor usage. On the design front, the phone gets a high-gloss metallic frame alongside a circular camera design. It also comes with a Dynamic Light on the camera island and can be purchased in two colour options.

Under the hood, the phone gets a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and ships with Android 15-based FunTouch OS 15. It comes with a 6,500mAh large battery which, the brand claims, is the largest in the segment, and it gets a 44W wired charging support, with reverse wired charging functionality.

Photographers can make the most of its 50MP primary camera, which is coupled with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it houses a 5MP punch-hole camera for video calls and selfies.

Lastly, Vivo has equipped the Y39 5G with a bunch of AI productivity features. Some of these include AI Screen Translation, Google’s Circle to Search, and Live Text, which is useful for extracting text out of images. It even comes with AI SuperLink which, the company states, can improve the signal reception on the smartphone.

Vivo Y39 5G: Price and availability

The Vivo Y39 5G is available in two colours Lotus Purple and Ocean Blue. It comes in 8GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants that are priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 18,999, respectively. Within this price range, you can also consider the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G or the Realme 13 5G.

The device is currently up for sale on Vivo’s official website and will gradually make its way to e-commerce platforms and retail stores, such as Croma, starting today.
