Vivo Y300 5G launched with 80W fast charging, AI features

Vivo has officially launched the all-new Vivo Y300 5G smartphone in India. The smartphone comes with a premium-looking design, AI-powered camera system, and 80W fast charging support.

The device comes a month after the launch of the Vivo Y300 Plus 5G, which comes in the same price segment with different design and features.

Vivo Y300 5G specifications and features

The Vivo Y300 5G features a stylish titanium-inspired design, offering a premium in-hand feel. The device sports a 6.67-inch punch-hole AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. It has SGS Low Blue Light filter to protect users’ eyes.

There’s a dual camera system on the rear with a 50MP Sony IMX882 main lens and a 2MP lens to offer the bokeh effect. The main camera is capable of shooting 2x portrait shots with the portrait mode. The rear camera is assisted by an AI Aura Light, which helps with nighttime photography.

The device also has AI features for the camera, like AI Supermoon, which uses the super night algorithm and nigh filters to offer a detailed final image. It also has features like AI Erase and AI Enhance, the former allows you to remove unwanted objects from an image.

Upfront, there’s a 32MP camera for clicking selfies. Vivo has also offered a Dual-View Video mode that lets you simultaneously record videos from the front and rear cameras.

The smartphone draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, which is a 4nm octa-core chipset. It has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It has 4D Game Vibration and Game Voice Changer feature for all the gamers out there.

As far as the battery is concerned, it packs a 5,000mAh cell with support for 80W FlashCharge support. While the fast-charging speed is great, the device unfortunately runs on the old Android 14 OS with FuntouchOS 14 on top. Vivo hasn’t revealed when the device will get the Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 update.

Other than this, the device also has IP64 dust and water resistance rating. It has 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS support.

Vivo Y300 5G price and availability

The Vivo Y300 5G is priced at Rs 21,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB variant. The 8GB RAM and 256GB variant is priced at Rs 23,999. The smartphone will be available for purchase from November 26 in the online and offline markets across India.

In the same price segment, you can also consider the Nothing Phone (2a) for its unique design and clean UI. As mentioned above, Vivo also launched the Y300 Plus 5G recently. It comes with a different design and is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset.
