The sub-Rs 8,000 smartphone segment doesn’t see too much action, which is a shame, given how price-conscious the Indian market is. There is a dearth for solid options for consumers at this price point, however, Vivo is attempting to remedy that.
The company has launched the Vivo V19e in India with some standout features like a smooth 90Hz display and the segment’s largest battery yet. Is your curiosity piqued? Read on to find out more about the latest budget smartphone from the house of Vivo.
Vivo V19e: Price and availability
The Vivo V19e is priced at Rs 7,999 for the sole 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. 64GB isn’t too much of a storage, especially in 2025, but Vivo has, at least, provided a microSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 2TB.
The phone will be available for purchase on the Vivo India e-store, online platforms, and across all retail stores in India starting March 20. The phone is available in two colourways – Titanium Silver and Majestic Green.
Customers who purchase the Vivo V19e can avail a Jio prepaid plan worth Rs 449 with perks such as 84GB mobile data (3GB per day), unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day, and access to JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud.
Vivo V19e: Specifications and features
The Vivo V19e houses a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD panel with 90Hz and 260 PPI. While the clarity won’t be top-notch, at 90Hz, the phone’s display will feel smooth when you’re scrolling around the phone.
Powered by the Unisoc T7725 processor, this is a 4G phone that comes packing 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage. These aren’t the most powerful specs, but they should be enough for basic tasks like texting, browsing the web, and calling.
For optics, the phone houses a pretty basic 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and you get a 0.08MP token sensor too. For selfies, there’s a 5MP front-facing camera that’s housed in a teardrop-shaped notch.
Battery life is super important at this price since it is one of the consumers’ top priorities in the ultra-budget segment. And that’s exactly why Vivo has housed a gargantuan 5,500mAh battery inside the Y19e, which supports 15W charging. The phone runs Android 14 out of the box with FunTouch OS 14 on top. It also has some basic AI features like AI Erase.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP64 dust and splash resistance, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.2, and USB-C for charging. The phone has also earned the SGS and Military-Grade Shock Resistance certifications.
