Vivo has launched a new smartphone under its Y-series banner. The phone adds to the entry-level series and is an affordable 4G option for those looking for their first smartphone, or those who need a secondary backup device.

Vivo Y18i: What’s new?
The Vivo Y18i comes with a 6.56-inch LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a Unisoc T612 4G chipset, along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Coming to the cameras, the Vivo Y18i has a dual rear camera, comprising a 13MP primary sensor and a 0.08MP secondary sensor. There is also a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Expandable storage is also supported via a memory card slot.
Other features on the phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, FM Radio, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port on the bottom. The phone also has an IP54 dust and water resistance certification.
Powering the phone’s internals is a 5,000mAh battery, but no information on the charging speeds of the device has been provided.
The Vivo Y18i is priced at Rs 7,999 for the sole 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The device does have two colour choices though, including a Gem Green and Space Black options. Other options in this segment include the Redmi A3 and the older Vivo Y18e, both of which also cost the same.
