Vivo X200 and X200 Pro, the latest camera-centric flagship smartphones from the Chinese smartphone maker launched earlier this month in India. With these new flagships, Vivo once again cemented its position as a smartphone photography leader. However, when it comes to buying the X200 series, you will be wondering how the two differ from each other. Here’s a detailed look at how Vivo X200 differs from its premium sibling, the X200 Pro.
Vivo X200 Pro specifications
Let’s first look at the specifications of Vivo X200 Pro, which is a premium of the two flagship devices. Simply put, this is the best flagship smartphone for those interested in still photography. This is made possible by a triple rear camera setup housed in a circular module. The primary camera is a 50MP sensor with wide f/1.6 aperture, PDAF, and OIS. It is paired with a 50MP ultra-wide angle shooter with a 119-degree field of view. Last but not least is a 200MP HP9 periscope telephoto camera with 85mm equivalent focal length, delivering 3.7x optical zoom.
The use of the latest image sensors, Vivo‘s own V3+ imaging chip, and Zeiss optics result in excellent images regardless of the situation. The result is sharp images and an unmatched portrait experience. The ability to shoot using traditional Zeiss looks only makes the whole photography experience better. At the front, Vivo has equipped the device with a 32MP camera.

It runs Funtouch 15 based on Android 15 and comes in only one storage variant of 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Vivo X200 Pro features an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and houses a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired or 30W wireless charging. Vivo is offering the X200 Pro in either titanium grey or cosmos black colour and the device weighs 228 grams and 223 grams respectively.
Vivo X200 features
If the X200 Pro is a beast then the X200 is no slouch either. It comes in cosmos black and natural green colour options weighing 197 grams and 202 grams respectively. There is a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Powering the device is MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip and Vivo is offering the device with either 12GB or 16GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage.
For photography, Vivo X200 uses three 50MP sensors for its main camera, ultra-wide angle camera as well as telephoto camera. Both the main camera and telephoto camera support OIS with the latter offering up to 3x zoom. While Vivo has added a lot of modes to help photography, the Zeiss multifocal portrait is one of the highlights here. There is also a 32MP front-facing camera similar to the one seen on X200 Pro.

Vivo X200 and X200 Pro: Which one is better
Vivo X200 and X200 don’t differ in a big way if you look at the design, display and performance but Vivo has clearly differentiated the two with its camera setup. The X200 Pro uses a high-resolution 200MP HP9 sensor for its telephoto lens while the X200 settles for a 50MP shooter. As a premium offering, the X200 Pro also gets an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, wireless charging, and a slightly bigger 6,000mAh battery.
Vivo X200 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 65,999 while the variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage costs Rs 71,999. Vivo has priced the lone 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant of X200 at Rs 94,999. If you are someone looking for the absolute best in mobile photography then the X200 Pro is the one for you. However, for most users, the X200 will not only suffice as a smartphone but also as a camera phone.
