Vivo X200 series announced with a focus on cameras and performance

Vivo has officially announced its flagship smartphone series dubbed the Vivo X200. The series comprises of the Vivo X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro Mini. Yes, Vivo has listened to all the compact phone fans by announcing a phone with a small form factor.

The series succeeds the Vivo X100 series from last year and brings the prowess of the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. The trio also gets AI features and runs the latest Android 15 out of the box. Let’s see series’ specifications, features, and price.

Vivo X200 series specifications and features

Vivo’s X200 series comes with a design similar to the X100 series. All phones have a high refresh rate screen with a circular camera island on the rear, which we will get to later.

Starting with the X200, it has a 6.67-inch 120Hz 10-bit OLED LTPS display with support for HDR10+ and Zeiss Natural Colour. The screen has a 1216 x 2640 pixels resolution and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.

The X200 Pro has the same screen size as LTPO technology, offering a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The X200 Pro Mini, on the other hand, sports a smaller 6.31-inch flat-screen LTPO panel with the same resolution and refresh rate as the other X200 models.

As for the optics, the trio sport a triple-rear camera system. The X200 Pro boasts a 50MP Sony LYT-818 main lens with OIS support, a 200MP Zeiss APO periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens.

The X200 Pro Mini and the X200 get the same main 50MP sensor with support for OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide sensor.

Both the Pro models come with Vivo’s V3+ imaging chipset to offer better image processing. The chipset also enables 4K HDR Cinematic Portrait video and 10-bit Log video support on the phones.

Under the hood, the trio draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, which is a newly released chipset that’s based on a 3nm process. All models have up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.

In terms of battery, the X200 gets a 5,800mAh cell with 90W wired fast charging support. The X200 Pro packs a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 30W wireless fast charging support. The X200 Pro Mini houses a 5,700mAh battery with the same wired and wireless fast charging speeds as the Pro model.

The series runs Android 15 OS out-of-the-box and has OriginOS 5. The series has an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security. The series has 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GNSS, including GPS as connectivity options.

Vivo X200 series price and availability

The X200 series is available in China, as of now. The X200 starts at CNY 4,300 (about Rs 51,000). The X200 Pro and X200 Pro Mini, on the other hand, start at CNY 5,999 (about Rs 63,000) and CNY 4,699 (about Rs 56,000), respectively.

While the Vivo X200 series looks promising, it, unfortunately, isn’t available in India. So, while you wait for it to arrive here, you can consider some other alternatives in the similar like the Xiaomi 14 for its compact design and flagship features, and the OnePlus 12, for the OnePlus experience.
