When it comes to flagship phones that stand out for their camera quality, Vivo’s X series is among the well-known ones. The most expensive Vivo phones you can get your hands on in many regions including India, the X-series sports great camera sensors, a UI tuned to make the most of it, and even a dedicated chip for better image processing. Now, the newest X-series phone brings something extra to the table – a true flagship chipset.
The Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro have been announced for the China market, and their stand-out feature is the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. Rivalling the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 is a 4nm chipset that can clock up to 3.25GHz. It also features a more powerful Immortalis G720 GPU with hardware-based ray tracing support and supports Bluetooth 5.4.

Apart from the new chip, the new Vivo X100 series phones also come with a new V3 dedicated image processing chip. This is coupled with a Sony IMX920 main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 64MP Zeiss super-telephoto camera.
On the Vivo X100 Pro the camera specs include a 50MP Sony IMX989 main camera with a 1-inch sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP Zeiss super-telephoto camera. There is also a 32MP camera on the front of both phones for selfies and video calls.

The phone is also available with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IP68 water and dust resistance certification, and a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired and 150W wireless charging support.

On the vanilla X100, you get a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display panel with 3,000 nits brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. The device also sports up to 16GB RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, but comes with a slightly smaller 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging support.
Vivo X series pricing, availability
The Vivo X100 is priced starting at CNY 3,999 (about Rs 50,000), while the Vivo X100 Pro starts at CNY 4,999 (about Rs 56,000). Vivo still has not confirmed the availability of the X100 series smartphones in India, but given that we have seen both the X90 an X80 series come to the country in previous years, the phones may launch in India in the next few months.
