Vivo V29e is a mid-range smartphone for budding content creators

Mid-range smartphones are all the hype this year, with several brands including Oppo, realme and Xiaomi vying for the top spot in the market this year. More recently, premium brands such as Samsung and OnePlus have also been developing products aimed at users on a budget. These devices aim to offer features at par with more premium smartphones.  

The devices in this segment usually cater to a certain set of needs and requirements over others, ranging from multitasking, gaming, and multimedia consumption to name a few. One such requirement is photography, and catering to this requirement is Vivo’s latest mid-range device – vivo V29e. 

Vivo V29e smartphone launched

Vivo V29e is the latest addition to the brand’s V series, which sits right below its flagship X series. The V29e is offered with a dual camera setup at the rear, with a 64MP f/1.79 primary camera and an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide shooter. On the front is a punch-hole cutout 50MP camera, making the device ideal for budding influencers.

The device features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits. Under the hood is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset coupled with an Adreno 619 GPU. There are two variants to choose from – base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. 

The new smartphone is backed up by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging via a USB Type C port.  

Vivo V29e pricing and availability

The vivo V29e has been launched in two colour variants – artistic blue and artistic red. It is priced at Rs 26,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, and Rs 28,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.  

The vivo V29e smartphone is an affordable option for aspiring content creators on a budget. However, a few other options they can consider within the price range are the OnePlus Nord 3 CE Lite, the realme 11 Pro 5G, and the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G.
