ViewSonic launches new Omni-series monitors for gamers

ViewSonic has kicked off the new year with the launch of some new gaming monitors, which cater to all kinds of gamers, from those who want a budget monitor for casual gaming, to those looking for more performance.

The new monitors, all a part of the brand’s Omni series, include the ViewSonic Omni VX2479 HD PRO, the ViewSonic Omni VX2779 HD PRO, the ViewSonic Omni VX3219 2K PRO 2 and the ViewSonic Omni VX2758A 2K PRO 2. Here is everything you need to know about the new gaming monitors.

ViewSonic Omni VX2479

The first of the two new monitors, the Omni VX2479, features a 24-inch IPS display panel with a 1080p (Full HD) resolution. The monitor can go up to 165Hz, making it great for casual games and also very usable for some competitive gaming.

The monitor also features Variable Refresh Rate support, along with other features like VESA mounting (for dual-monitor setups), 250 nits brightness and 1ms response time. The monitor also features multiple input ports, including two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2 connector and an audio output port.

ViewSonic Omni VX2779

The second monitor is the Omni VX2779, which is slightly larger and more powerful. This monitor comes with a 27-inch IPS display panel, which still has 1080p (Full HD) resolution, and 180Hz refresh rate. This allows gamers who have more powerful setups capable of producing high frame rates, to make the most of the same in competitive gaming, allowing them to not miss any frames and react as quickly as possible.

The ViewSonic Omni VX2779 also features the same feature-set, including Variable Refresh Rate support, 250 nits brightness, VESA mounting, 1ms response time and the same input ports as the Omni VX2479. Both monitors also support AMD FreeSync.

ViewSonic Omni VX3219 2K PRO 2 and Omni VX2758A 2K PRO 2

For semi-pro and professional gamers who need better gaming experience, ViewSonic has also launched the Omni VX3219 2K PRO 2 and the Omni VX2758A 2K PRO 2.

The first of these is the Omni VX3219 2K PRO 2, which features a large 32-inch IPS screen with a 2K (QHD) panel with 165Hz refresh rate. The monitor also features 0.5ms response rate and HDR10 support, Variable Refresh Rate, 2.5W stereo speakers and support for height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustments.

The ViewSonic Omni VX2758A 2K PRO 2 comes with a smaller 27-inch IPS panel, but features 170Hz refresh rate. It also comes with the same feature-set as the Omni VX3219, including the same ports, stand adjustments and speakers.

Pricing and availability

The ViewSonic Omni VX2479 HD PRO is priced at Rs 9,999 and the Omni VX2779 is priced at Rs 11,999. The 2K gaming monitors are a little more expensive, with the ViewSonic Omni VX2758A 2K PRO 2 costing Rs 19,499, and the Omni VX3219 2K PRO 2 priced at Rs 25,499.

Some other gaming monitors you can consider at these prices include the LG UltraGear 27-inch monitor and the AOC FHD gaming monitor.
