Upcoming phone launches in 2024 that you should keep an eye out for

We are officially into the last few months of 2024, and we’ve already been treated to a number of smartphones launches this year. This includes the new iPhone 16 series, foldable phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 series, and more. However, even with two months left before the end of the year, several phones are yet to reach the market.

Here’s quick look at a few upcoming smartphones that we are expecting to launch in the next few weeks. While all the phones mentioned below may not have a specific launch date just yet, leaks and rumours suggest a launch may be in the pipeline sooner than you’d expect.

OnePlus 13

Rumours of a new OnePlus flagship usually begin right after the launch of the current gen flagship, and we had started hearing about the OnePlus 13 right after the OnePlus 12 launched earlier this year.

While OnePlus has stayed mum about the phone, several leaks and rumours have revealed much of what we can expect from the device. This includes a new, super-bright display, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a bigger battery. The phone is also more likely than not to include the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

Realme GT 7 Pro

After Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite today, Realme was quick to announce the launch of its next flagship phone – the Realme GT 7 Pro. The brand has also called the phone India’s first phone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and mentioned a November release.

Looking at previous additions in the brand’s GT series, we can assume the Realme GT 7 Pro will be a performance-oriented phone, with an emphasis on aspects like gaming, multitasking and perhaps even fast charging.

Xiaomi 15

Xiaomi is expected to launch it next flagship to succeed the Xiaomi 14 series too. Just like the 14 series, multiple models are expected, but things might kickstart with the regular Xiaomi 15.

The phone is set to pack the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, but it remains to be seen if this will be the device where Xiaomi leverages current-gen hardware to bring in AI features of its own.

Redmi Note 14

It’s not just flagships that are expected to launch before the year’s end. Xiaomi’s sister brand Redmi is expected to announce its next range of value-for-money mid-range smartphones – the Redmi Note 14 series.

The Redmi Note 14 series has actually already been announced in China, and the series has included three models so far – a standard, a Note 14 Pro and a Note 14 Pro+. How many of these will come to India, and whether they will have the same specifications remains to be seen.

However, considering the Note series devices have been some of the most popular smartphones in their segments, Xiaomi would like to quickly bring the phones over.

These are the smartphones we expect to launch in India before the end of the year. More details should be available for these soon. Stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma for all the updates around upcoming smartphone launches, and all things tech.
