If a million reports are to be believed, the next iPhone SE is expected to come with a lot of new design choices. From the first notch design in the series to an OLED display and more, the next iPhone SE may be closer to the base iPhone than ever before.
It gets even more interesting when you consider the possibility of Apple Intelligence support. As per a Bloomberg report, the next iPhone SE may join the iPhone 16 series in supporting Apple’s AI suite.

The report further suggests that the upcoming iPhone SE will launch in early 2025. While this means we will likely not see the phone launch with the iPhone 16 series next month, a launch isn’t too far away after that.
What Apple Intelligence on the iPhone SE means for current iPhone users?
For anyone using an iPhone 14 or older device, the upcoming iPhone SE may make for a perfect affordable upgrade for the new AI features it will likely bring to the table. Those who want to spend more, will, of course, be able to go for the iPhone 16 series, where the entire series is expected to support the suite.

However, the move may leave a sour taste in the mouth of iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus users, whose devices already feel outdated. This is because Apple introduced Apple Intelligence only to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The non-Pro variants were deemed unable to run Apple Intelligence, citing inadequate RAM.
iPhone SE: What else do we know
Rumours have suggested that the iPhone SE will come with the iPhone 14’s chassis, along with a 6.1-inch OLED display. However, it is expected to still miss out on dual cameras, and other nice-to-haves like the Action Button, which is expected to be a standard feature in the 16 series.
How many people will prefer the upcoming iPhone SE without these perks will, of course, depend on how Apple prices the phone. Stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma for all the updates on iPhones until then.
