However, just like all your gadgets, your TWS earbuds also deserve a little TLC every once in a while.
Keeping them clean is essential to ensure that their audio quality isn’t hampered due to the build-up of dirt, dust, and wax, and also ensure no unwanted bacteria enter your ear canal. Things you need to clean your TWS earbuds
Before we get started, let’s go over just what you’ll need to clean your earbuds.
1. Microfiber cloth or alcohol wipes
2. Isopropyl alcohol
3. Toothbrush
4. Cotton swabs
5. Warm water
6. Dishwashing soap
Now, cleaning your TWS earbuds is a three-step process – first, clean your TWS earbuds’ ear tips. Then, clean the buds themselves. Lastly, clean your case.
How to clean the tips on your earbuds
Do the following to clean the tips of your TWS earbuds.
1. Remove the silicone ear tips from your earbuds before cleaning. For this, hold the edge of the ear tip from the bottom and gently tug at it, till it turns inside out. Now, gently pull the tips from where they are attached to the earbud using your nail, and that’s it.

2. Mix one part of dishwashing liquid and five parts of lukewarm water in a bowl, and soak your tips in them for at least 30 minutes.
3. Next, rinse the tips and allow them to air-dry, for a few hours.
How to clean your earbuds
1. Dampen your microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol mildly, ensuring it isn’t oversaturated.
2. Wipe your TWS earbuds using the cloth.
3. Next, take a toothbrush and mildly brush the mesh on your earbuds. This will get rid of all finer particles of dust and debris, as well as earwax lodged in your earbuds.
4. Gently wipe the mesh using the microfiber cloth dipped in isopropyl alcohol. This disinfects the mesh.
Once done, leave them out to dry for a few hours.
How to clean the charging case for your earbuds
1. Take some isopropyl alcohol in a bowl.
2. Lightly dab a cotton swab in it.
3. Gently clean the charging slots for your earbuds in the case using the same.
4. Next, wipe the outer parts of the case using your microfiber cloth, dipped in the isopropyl alcohol.

Should you not have access to a microfiber cloth or isopropyl alcohol, you can also use alcohol wipes instead.
Tips to keep in mind while cleaning your TWS earbuds
1. Never let your TWS earbuds or their charging case come in direct contact with water or alcohol, as this can cause them to short-circuit on the inside, and hence stop working.
2. Allow the ear tips to dry for a few hours, before attaching them back to your earbuds, or the moisture may damage the drivers on the earbuds.
3. Ensure you don’t apply too much pressure to the earbuds while cleaning them.
4. Clean the drivers using the toothbrush gently, or you may risk breaking the same.
5. The toothbrush needs to be dry as well, as any water droplets or alcohol on the same can damage the drivers.
6. Always wait for a few hours, for the earbuds and charging case to dry, before charging them or using them.
