Sony had its first ‘State of Play’ event for the year today. Several exciting new games and their trailers were showcased at the event, and PlayStation 5 gamers sure are in for a treat! Bearing in mind how the event was streamed at 4:30 AM India time though, some of you may have missed it. Worry not, for this is where we step in. We have put together this list of the most exciting game trailers announced at the event.
Until Dawn Remaster
If you were wondering whether the Until Dawn remaster is really happening, we have some good news for you. Developer Ballistic Moon confirmed that it indeed is real, and is coming to PS5 as well as PC sometime later this year, with enhanced graphics.

For the unaware, Until Dawn is a 2015 third-person-perspective horror game developed by Supermassive Games for the PS4. Players in the game assume control of eight youngsters, who are stuck and have to survive on Blackwood Mountain until they are rescued. The game features a butterfly effect system, wherein players’ choices affect the story and outcome of the game. All of the playable characters could survive, or even die based on these choices.
Dragon’s Dogma 2
Developed by Capcom, Dragon’s Dogma 2 sees the player take on the role of a character simply referred to as “Arisen”. A third-person-perspective action game, its players explore the lands of Vermund and Battahl, set in a parallel universe from that of the original Dragon’s Dogma game. While doing so, they must take on quests, and fight several monsters, each of which presents their own threats, all while being caught up in a conflict between the two kingdoms.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
Kojima Productions presented viewers with a trailer for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, a sequel to the original, highly acclaimed 2019 Death Stranding game. The trailer for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach shows players taking on the role of protagonist Sam Bridges again, on a mission around the globe to connect the remainders of humanity, before they perish.

Some super-cool bits in the trailer include the player taking on a new adversary, in the form of the Drawbridge Group. Villains are shown to wield weapons that look like a cross between a chainsaw and a guitar, robot samurais, a talking puppet, and a lot more.
Stellar Blade
Developer Shift Up gave players an in-depth look at Stellar Blade, an upcoming action game that will be released in April 2024. The game takes place on a post-apocalyptic planet Earth, where humanity is forced to flee after losing a war against an alien race called the NA:tives. Players take on the role of protagonist Eve, who along with her aides and Adam, from the last surviving human city on Earth called Xion, work to reclaim the Earth.
Silent Hill: The Short Message
Silent Hill, The Short Message is a free-to-play spinoff of the Silent Hill series and is out for PS5 today. In the game, players take on the role of a young adult trapped in an apartment building, seemingly in search of something, as well as a way to escape it, all while taking on the monsters that lie within.
Ninja's Rise of the Ronin
Developed by Team Ninja, Rise of the Ronin allows players to create a custom character in the late 19th century, during the final days of the Edo period. Players take part in the Boshin war between the Tokugawa Shogunate and many ant-shogunate factions, who are not pleased with the opening of Japan’s borders as well as its economy following the Sakoku period, as well as the Western influences it brought with it into Japanese culture.
Sonic x Shadow Generations
SEGA revealed Sonic x Shadow Generations, which is a remaster of Sonic Generations, also featuring Shadow the Hedgehog. Sonic Generations was first released in 2011 and is considered one of Sonic the Hedgehog series’ best games.
