Even if you haven’t watched the movies, you couldn’t have not heard of the Star Wars universe. We say universe, because Star Wars has been more than just the numerous movies in the series, also spanning across several shows and games. The latter, is what we’re here to talk about today. On the occasion of Star Wars Day, here are some of the best games in the series that fans should definitely play.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
One of the newest, and best games in the series, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is one of the best games of the franchise (and there have been many), and currently the face of all Star Wars games. Taking place five years after the events of prequel game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the game continues the saga of Jedi Knight Cal Kestis amidst his struggle in the Galactic Empire. Available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and also for Windows PCs, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a must-play irrespective of what platform you own or prefer.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
We can’t talk about the best Star Wars games, include Survivor, and not talk about its prequel. 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order starts a new story, set years after Revenge of the Sith, and follows the tale of Cal Kestis, a young Jedi Padawan who becomes the target of the Galactic Empire amidst a political turmoil amidst the stars. This game is also available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and also for Windows PCs., which lets you play it on desktops or laptops.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
The Lego games have been some of my favourite over the years, serving as a good blend of action/adventure and pure Lego-themed fun, across Marvel, DC and several other universes. 2022’s Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is no different, and offers hours of fun as well as most characters from the movies and shows.

With some great levels, awesome graphics and plenty of laughs, there’s something to love for everyone in here. Apart from Windows, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, the game is also available for the Nintendo Switch.
Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes
Taking a break from PC and console games, we have Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, a role-playing game (RPG) that allows for a lighter gameplay that involves collecting multiple characters from the franchise and create teams with them. Teams can then battle in turn-based combat battles. Available on both Android phones and iPhones, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is the perfect collector-style game for those who want some intergalactic action when on the go.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
A classic on consoles and PC, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, or simply Star Wars: KOTOR can also be enjoyed on Android and iOS-based devices, as well as the Nintendo Switch. The game’s events take place 4,000 years before the formation of the Galactic Empire, and the puts players in the shoes of a Jedi who must visit far away planets to beat Darth Malak, a Dark Lord of the Sith.
Those are some of the best and most enjoyable Star Wars games out there. Of course, with a franchise so large, there are also plenty of other Star Wars games we haven’t touched on. Once you’re done with these 5, feel free to explore the galaxies for all the other Star Wars games you can find.
