Squid Games Season 3 release date revealed: What to expect, where to watch

Here’s when you will be able to catch the final Squid Games season

Squid Games Season 3 release date revealed: What to expect, where to watch

Netflix’s Squid Games is easily one of its most popular shows of all time, right alongside Money Heist and Stranger Things. After a brutal cliffhanger at the end of Squid Game: Season 2 though, fans can now finally know when to expect the next season of the show.

That’s right; Squid Game is back on June 27, 2025, which is about six months from now. That is a much shorter wait, compared to the gap between the first two seasons. For those wondering how this is possible, it’s because Seasons 2 and 3 were largely shot together.

Squid Game Season 3: Where to watch, and what to expect?

Unsurprisingly, Squid Game season 3 will also stream on Netflix, and will be available to watch to subscribers irrespective of what plan they’re on. Plans in India start at as low as Rs 149 per month for the smartphone plan which can be used on iPhones and Android phones, but to enjoy the show on more devices and in higher resolutions on 4K Smart TVs, one must get one of the higher tier plans.

The season will continue the tale of lead character Gi-Hun, who is not just stuck in the deadly games for a second time, but has also just dealt with a failed revolution. After losing yet another close friend and being betrayed like never before at the end of Season 2, Gi-Hun must now switch up his approach to end the Squid Games once and for all.

Squid Game Season 3: Is this going to be the last season of the show?

Yes, Squid Game Season 3 is expected to be the last season of the popular show, and is expected to bring the tale of Gi-Hun and the other characters to a close. The teaser image shared by Netflix alongside the release date also says “The final game” which also hints at this being the last season.

Through Season 1 and 2, what began as a scheme to earn some quick money and clear his debts for Gi-Hun, turned into a witch-hunt for the Games and the man at the centre of it all – the elusive Frontman. With Season 3, we expect Gi-Hun to finally do the impossible, and how the man manages to topple over the empire that powers the games (virtually single-handedly now) remains to be seen.
