Sonos Era 300, Era 100 speakers bring smart features to premium sound

However, most popular smart speakers may not carry the audiophile-grade sound quality enthusiasts will swear by. That’s the market Sonos is targeting with its new Era 300 and Era 100 smart speakers.

The Sonos Era smart speakers bring together the brand’s decades of experience in premium audio with modern smart speaker bells and whistles. Here’s everything you need to know about the Sonos Era speakers.

Sonos Era 100

The Sonos Era 100 sports two tweeters along with a large mid-woofer for a rich sound experience that Sonos claims is unlike what you’d expect from a compact speaker. The Era 100 has a slim profile, which means you can use it as a lone speaker and it will conveniently fit in to most room desks or office setups.

The low-profile design also lets you club two Era 100s together to create a stereo sound effect or add more life to your existing soundbar. The Sonos Era 100 supports voice assistance, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, and a line-in connection. The speakers also support Apple AirPlay 2 and come with Touch Controls.

Sonos Era 300

The Sonos Era 300 features a more iconic horizontal hourglass design and is the first Sonos speaker to feature multi-channel surround sound, which is ideal for when you use the Era 300 as a part of your home theatre setup. The speaker supports Arc technology, allowing you to effortlessly club two speakers to add an extra layer of Dolby Atmos-powered richness to your entertainment setup.

The speaker also features six drivers positioned carefully around the front, top and sides to deliver an immersive, spatial audio experience.

Both Sonos speakers are built with PCR, or post-consumer recycled plastic keeping sustainability in mind. More screws instead of adhesives also make the Era 100 and 300 easier to service.

The Sonos Era 100 is priced at Rs 29,999 and will be available from October 20 in a black and a white variant. The Sonos Era 300 is priced at Rs 54,999 and also comes in a black and a white variant. It will be available from October 20.
