After the critical acclaim received along with an Emmy and Peabody Award, the web series Severance is coming back for a second season. This announcement comes in the form a teaser. While the teaser is too short, it provides all the important details including the release date of the new season.
It also shares a glimpse into the mysteries that lie ahead at Lumon Industries when a return to office notice has been issued.
Severance Season 2 teaser released
For those who haven’t watched the series yet, Severance is a workplace thriller show where Mark Scout, played by Adam Scott, leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure.
This procedure divides people’s memories between their work and personal lives. When Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery, this daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question. This forces him to confront the true nature of his work, and of himself.

In the new season, Mark and his friends will learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier. It will further lead them down a path of woe.
Severance is executive produced by Ben Stiller who has also directed five episodes in the new season. It has been created, written and executive produced by Dan Erickson with other executive producers coming on-board for season 2.
In addition to starring in the series, Adam Scott and Patricia Arquette also serve as executive producers on the series that is presented by the Fifth Season studio.
Severance Season 2 release date
Things are set to definitely get interesting when everyone returns to office on January 17, 2025.
On this date, Severance season 2 will debut globally on Apple TV+ with the first episode. It will be followed by one episode every Friday till March 21. While you are waiting for the new season, you can stream the first season on your smartphone, laptop or TV.
