Sennheiser Momentum 4 earbuds, other audio products announced at CES 2024

CES 2024 seems to have had something store in for everyone- whether gamers, cinephiles, and of course, let’s not forget the audiophiles. Speaking of audiophiles, Sennheiser has just announced three new offerings at CES 2024 – The Momentum 4 True Wireless earbuds, Momentum Sport, and the Accentum Plus over-the-ear headphones. Here’s all you need to know.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 earbuds: Features and key specifications

The Momentum 4 TWS earbuds are the fourth iteration of their Momentum series of TWS earbuds. The latest earbuds from Sennheiser support Qualcomm AptX Lossless technology, which was first introduced in 2021. What this does in essence, is allow for high-quality audio playback wirelessly, maintaining near-original fidelity and richness as when the song was recorded, while transmitting audio wirelessly. In addition to this, the Momentum 4 TWS earbuds also support Bluetooth LE audio and Auracast, which lets you connect the earbuds to an unlimited number of devices.

On offer is also adaptive noise cancellation capabilities, to ensure an unhindered listening and calling experience in crowded areas. Battery life on the Sennheiser Momentum 4 TWS earbuds stands at seven-and-half hours on a full charge, which can also be extended to as much as 30 hours when coupled with the charging case, which also gets wireless charging capabilities.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 Sport: Features and key specifications

Fitness enthusiasts might want to take a look at the new Sennheiser Momentum Sport earbuds. These earbuds get heart-rate-tracking capabilities, via an in-built photoplethysmography (PPG) heart rate sensor. In addition to this, they also get a body temperature sensor, and the ability to connect to Apple Watch and its Health app, Garmin watches, Strava, Peloton, and more.

In addition to this, users can also access Polar’s biosensing capabilities and data analytics, which can provide them with real-time insights while training via the Polar Flow app. To minimise the sound of footsteps or heavy breathing while training, the Sennheiser Momentum Sport buds also have an acoustic relief channel. Speaking of which, it also features active noise cancellation (ANC) capabilities – including a transparency mode, an anti-wind mode, and an adaptive noise canceling mode.

The Momentum Sport earbuds are rated for a 6-hour battery life, which can be extended to up to 24 hours with the charging case. What’s cool is that while the buds come with an IP55 rating, making them sweat and water-resistant, the charging case also comes with an IP54 water and dust-resistance rating.

Sennheiser Accentum Plus: Features and key specifications

The Sennheiser Accentum Plus headphones sit between the mid-range Accentum headphones and the flagship Momentum 4 Wireless ANC headphones. The headphones feature support for Qualcomm AptX Lossless technology, as well as multi-point Bluetooth connectivity, same as the Momentum 4 TWS earbuds. In addition to this, they also come with wind reduction capabilities, as well as an adjustable side tone which allows you to hear yourself in the headphones too, while on calls.

The Sennheiser Accentum Plus headphones, the company claims, have a battery that allows for up to 50 hours of playback at a stretch, presumably with ANC turned off. In addition to this, they also feature fast-charging capabilities, which Sennheiser says provides for up to five hours of listening time with a ten-minute charge.

Pricing and availability

The Sennheiser Momentum 4 TWS earbuds will be available in black copper, metallic silver, and graphite colourways, and are priced at $300 (approximately Rs 25,000). They will be available for pre-order starting February 15 and will go on sale starting February 29.

The Sennheiser Momentum Sport buds will be available in burned olive, polar black, and metallic graphite colours, and are priced at $330 (approximately Rs 27,500). The earbuds will go on sale starting April 9.

The Sennheiser Accentum Plus headphones on the other hand, will be available in black and white colourways and will be priced at $230 (approximately Rs 19,100). They will go on sale on February 20.
