Samsung has just announced that it will be bringing its suite of Galaxy AI features to upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch models, with new health and wellness-focused features. The Galaxy AI suite was first announced alongside the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series earlier this year, and abilities like real-time translations.
While these features will still be available on supported Samsung Galaxy series smartphones, the brand is now bringing a range of health features powered by AI on Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch series of smartwatches. Here’s a quick look at all the new features.
Energy Score
Your Samsung Galaxy Watch will now be able to determine your daily energy scores by using AI and taking into account metrics like average sleep time, sleep consistency, wake times, sleeping heart rate and heart rate variability.

Wellness tips
Galaxy Watch users will now also get personalised wellness tips based on their daily activities that will help them reach their specific fitness goals. These tips will offer important insights into your activities, but will also offer motivation to keep you going.
Improved sleep detection
AI algorithms will help Galaxy Watch smartwatches provide a more detailed analysis of your sleep, which will include factors like movement during sleep and respiratory rate, in addition to sleep cycles, snoring hours and blood oxygen levels.
Other features
Samsung also announced that AI integration for the smartwatches will also power features like Running Metrics and Cycling Metrics, which can now show more relevant data for runners and cyclists respectively. Samsung also claims that all metrics will also offer more accurate results and counts by using AI-powered algorithms.
Which Samsung Galaxy Watch variants are supported?
Samsung mentioned that the new features will be available on the next Galaxy Watch series wearables via One UI 6 Watch, which is set to release later this year. It isn’t clear if all or some of the features will come to existing Galaxy Watch models like the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch6 Classic. More details should be available when Samsung announces its next lineup of Galaxy wearables.
