Samsung, at its annual developer conference, revealed its next mobile operating system – One UI 7. However, it’s pretty late to the game, as its beta update for the same is yet to be released.
Samsung, unlike some other brands, will roll out One UI 7 beta update by late 2024, followed by a stable release starting early 2025. If you are using a Samsung smartphone, let’s see what all you can expect with the new One UI 7 and if your device will be eligible to get it.
Samsung One UI 7 beta: what to expect
Samsung’s One UI 7 beta is set to arrive by the end of this year, and by this month, we may see the Galaxy S24 Ultra getting the beta update first.

Following it, all other supported models should receive the beta update. Before we check all the eligible devices, let’s see what all features will the One UI 7 update bring.
Samsung hasn’t revealed many details about the One UI 7, but some reports indicate notable changes. This includes new UI elements, a new stock icon pack, and smoother animations.
The update may also bring a new charging animation to Samsung phones. It is also said to bring a customisable lock screen alongside new widgets. Reports also indicate that the UI may also bring Apple Intelligence-inspired AI features like notification summary, among others.
Further, Samsung may also add new Galaxy AI features to enhance the user experience and to keep up with the competition. But not all features may make it to all the Samsung models, some AI features could also be reserved for some of the Galaxy S series devices and the upcoming Galaxy S25 lineup.

It’s worth noting that since the One UI 7 update will be based on the latest Android 15 OS, Samsung phones also be able to enjoy all the Android 15 features. This includes partial screen recording, in-app camera controls, adaptive vibrations, Bluetooth auto-on, and more.

Which devices are eligible to get One UI 7?
Since Samsung offers long years of software support, most recent Samsung phones will be eligible to get One UI 7. This includes the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy A series, and Galaxy Z foldables, among others. Here’s the full list.
-Samsung Galaxy S-series – S24 series, S23 series, S22 series, S21 series
-Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series – Z Fold 6, Fold 5, Fold 4, Fold 3
-Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series – Z Flip 6, Flip 5, Flip 4, Flip 3
-Samsung Galaxy A series – A73, A54, A53, A35, 34, A33, A25, A24, A23, A16, A15, A14
-Samsung Galaxy M series – M55, M54, M53, M34, M33, M15
-Samsung Galaxy F series – F55, F54, F34, F15
Apart from the Samsung phones, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 series, Tab S9 series, and Tab S8 series will also be eligible to get the One UI 7 update.
