Samsung took the wraps off its much-awaited S24 series only last month, and needless to say, it was a hit among avid fans and eagerly anticipating enthusiasts. However, as pleased as users may be with its top-of-the-line features and tech specs, there was one annoying issue plaguing the devices.
After several users complained of ‘bland, unsaturated’ displays, Samsung has rolled out an update that will put an end to this problem. The firmware, which will come to Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra, will bring a vividness slider for users to adjust hues accordingly. Here’s what you need to know.
How to fix the saturation issue on Samsung Galaxy S24 devices
If you’ve been using the Galaxy S24 series, you’ve probably already struggled with the low saturation issue on its display. Several users even took to the online space to complain about the ‘dull’ display issue. However, with the new firmware update, you can now adjust saturation levels within the display settings of your Samsung smartphone.

As of today, the phones will offer two display settings: vivid and natural. Within these, you can customise the white balance in this preset mode using a vividness slider within Advanced Settings. Samsung, in a blog post, went on to mention how this change was brought about after feedback from users. It goes on to state how users will be able to enjoy a ‘more vibrant display’ post this update and will no longer have to deal with discoloured elements.
What other updates are coming to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series?
Samsung has mentioned how it will optimise other key camera functions on its Galaxy devices. However, it has not mentioned any further information regarding this apart from adding ‘changes’ to the device’s zoom functions, Portrait Mode, Nightography, and rear camera video shooting capabilities. For now, the updates are scheduled to begin rolling out this month gradually for Samsung Galaxy S24 users.
