A good gaming setup warrants a good gaming monitor, always. And when we talk of gaming monitors, one cannot miss Samsung’s Odyssey series monitors. They’re large, curved, fast-refreshing, and feature-laden. The same stands true for the latest addition to the series in India – the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 57 monitor.
Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57 dual UHD monitor features and key specifications
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57 Dual-UHD monitor is the world’s first Dual-UHD monitor. In essence, it is a 57-inch monitor that’s as good as two 32-inch 4K monitors stacked next to each other, without any obstruction cause by bezels in the middle. The monitor has a 32:9 aspect ratio and sports a 1,000R curvature. It also gets a 240Hz refresh rate and support for AMD FreeSync Premium.

Additional features on the Samsung Odyssey G9 57 include Samsung’s mini-LED tech, which powers the display, and provides for a higher contrast than a standard LED monitor. There’s also 1,000 nits of peak brightness, HDR support, and several ports for connectivity. These include a DisplayPort 2.1, and three HDMI 2.1 ports among multiple USB ports. Core Lighting+ support also gives the wall behind your setup some matching lighting when you’re busy gaming.
Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57: Who should get it?
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57 monitor comes with heaps of features and a one-of-a-kind resolution. However, the monitor is not just suited to gamers. With its perhaps unheard-of before resolution and aspect ratio, the G9 also happens to be a great monitor for work and entertainment.
While you can watch 4K movies like never before on the monitor thanks to the curvature and the pixel density, you also have the option of stacking two work-related windows next to each other, while effectively still retaining a full 4K resolution on each. Stack twice the number of windows and you still have plenty of pixels to work with, be it editing, spreadsheets, or even conference calls.

While you’re not working, the Odyssey Neo G9 57 is still one of the best gaming monitors out there. With a supported title like Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, that’s optimised for wider displays, you can have an immersive open-world experience like never before. Even if more competitive gaming is your thing, 240Hz refresh rate also lets you spot enemies in a split-second. It even has built-in speakers.
