Samsung unveiled its clamshell Galaxy Z Flip6 along with the Galaxy Z Fold6 and other wearables at a global launch event in Paris. However, that’s not all that the brand had in store for avid fans. With 2024 being the year of the Summer Olympics, Samsung also went on to announce an exclusive, Olympic Edition Galaxy Z Flip6 with a fresh design.
The smartphone continues the brand’s tradition of having an Olympic Edition device and it even comes with a commemorative back panel. Here’s everything you need to know:

The smartphone was announced to celebrate Samsung’s collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and will be displayed at select locations, including the Olympic Rendezvous Champs-Elysees 125 Experience Store in Paris.

The internal hardware of the phone remains the same as the vanilla Galaxy Z Flip6. However, the phone will sport a new back panel in a yellow colourway, adorned with the Olympic rings and the Paralympic agitos in gold. If that’s not all, Samsung has also partnered with the Parisian Men’s Luxury Maison to create an exclusive Flipsuit Case to dress up the phone.
Made using Venezia leather, the case comes with a unique mix of colours inspired by the Olympic Rings. The brand claims that this inclusion was to ‘celebrate the spirit of the Olympics’.
Who can purchase the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition?
Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition will not be available for purchase and is exclusively built for athletes competing at the Summer Olympics 2024. The phone, however, will be available for display at the above-mentioned locations beginning July 12 onwards.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 comes with the goodness of Galaxy AI and a dual camera setup at the back. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and is priced at Rs 1,64,999.
