Samsung Galaxy Watch6 series gets blood pressure, ECG monitoring features

In today’s time, wearable tech has managed to stand out for simplifying crucial health metrics and making them available with a simple tap. What once was only a steps tracking device has now evolved into a personal health instrument. Smartwatches today come with built-in features to monitor blood oxygen, heart rate, women’s health, and so much more. Keeping this in mind, Samsung has now launched blood pressure and electrocardiogram (ECG) tracking features for the Galaxy Watch6 series in India through an OTA (over-the-air) rollout. Here’s how to find them on your Galaxy Watch:

How to get BP and ECG monitoring on your Samsung Galaxy Watch6

If you’re a Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and above user, you can simply head to the Samsung Health Monitor App on the Galaxy Store. There, you will be able to locate both BP and ECG monitoring features. Your Galaxy Watch comes built-in with a Photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor to record systolic and diastolic pressure.

ECG, on the other hand, is a test that detects your heart’s rhythm and electrical activity. Sensors are placed on the skin, which further detect electrical signals produced by your heart. Each time it beats, the information is recorded on a graph. Read on to learn how to use them on your Samsung smartwatch:
