Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 date revealed: When to expect the Galaxy S25 series

Samsung is usually one of the first brands to reveal their newest flagship smartphones every year, and things are no different in 2025. Today, the brand has revealed the date for its next major announcement – the first Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event.

The launch will kick off later this month, and is expected to cover a bunch of new announcements from Samsung, including the new Galaxy S25 series smartphones, new wearables, accessories and more. Here’s all we know so far.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: When is it happening?

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 launch event is taking place on January 22 this month. The event will be an in-person one conducted in San Jose, US, but will also be available to live stream for viewers across the world. In India, viewers will be able to check out the launch event at 11:30pm IST on January 22.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: What to expect?

The highlight of the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is expected to be the Galaxy S25 series smartphones. The S-series Samsung devices have been among the best Android phones for years, and Samsung is expected to announce some big improvements this year.

This includes new additions to the Galaxy AI suite of features which Samsung first announced with the Galaxy S24 series last year. There are also rumours of a new variant joining the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra this year.

The new phone, rumoured to be a ‘Slim’ variant could feature the same performance but in a more compact and ultra-sleek body. At the moment, it isn’t quite clear if this phone will be announced with the rest of the S25 series, or later this year.

All the new phones in the series are unsurprisingly expected to pack the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipsets, which step up the CPU and GPU performance massively from last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, as well as improve the thermal efficiency significantly, which in theory, should help big time with the battery life on these phones.

Other expected upgrades include improved charging speeds and better cameras, with slimmer bezels and Qi2 charging support also being a rumoured change.
