Samsung’s next foldable devices, likely to be called the Galaxy Fold6 and the Galaxy Z Flip6, are set to launch soon in India. While rumours and leaks around the new foldable smartphones have been surfacing on the web for weeks now, we finally have an official launch date from Samsung.
The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event, not to be confused with the February event where we saw the new S24 series launch, will be held on July 10. The event will be physically taking place in Paris at 3:00 PM CEST, but can be livestreamed in India at 6:30 PM IST.

Ahead of the launch, here’s a quick look at all the new products expected, and all we know about them so far.
Next-gen Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip
The highlight of the event is likely to be the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 foldable phone and the Z Flip6 clamshell-style flip phone, both succeeding their predecessors from 2023.
The new phones are touted to feature a better design, and more powerful specifications. This will likely also mean the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, making the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 the first foldables to be powered by on-device AI chipsets.
We also expect Samsung to drop some new cameras on the Fold6 as part of its hardware upgrade, as the past could of generations of the Fold-series have used the same main camera, which isn’t a bad sensor, but hasn’t been on par with the Samsung Galaxy S24-series cameras.
Samsung Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra
Samsung is also expected to launch new wearables alongside the foldable phones, including the Watch7 series, which will succeed the Galaxy Watch6 series, but also a new Watch Ultra. The latter is expected to be a more durable, feature-packed entry for adventure sports, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra series.
Samsung Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro
While not much is known about the new Samsung Galaxy Buds3 series, leaks have suggested that Samsung is working on two pairs of TWS earbuds, both of which will interestingly feature a new design with stems, close to that of the Apple AirPods Pro.

More details on all these products should be teased over the coming days, and will go official soon after on July 10. It will be interesting to see how Samsung’s newer foldables now compete against newer players in the segment like the OnePlus Open or the new Vivo Fold X Fold3 Pro 5G.
