Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch pushed to May

We have been hearing about Samsung’s slim phone for a while now. However, Samsung hasn’t revealed any specific details yet. Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, the device was supposed to arrive later this month, but as per a fresh report, the launch has been pushed to May.

Having said that, the S25 Edge’s launch is just a month away from the next Unpacked, where Samsung is expected to launch its new foldables. Here’s everything you need to know.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch date, expected features

According to Sammobile, the Galaxy S25 Edge will now launch in May instead of April. The device is said to arrive on May 13, which isn’t too far away. The reason for the delay isn’t known yet, but reportedly, it isn’t due to any quality issues.

Nonetheless, Samsung’s new slim phone will launch soon, and it should be placed in the premium segment. As for its specifications, the Galaxy S25 Edge may boast a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with an FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels.

The device is expected to have a super-slim form factor, measuring just 5.84m in thickness. However, this thickness isn’t due to the new-age silicon-carbon battery. Instead, Samsung is expected to use the lithium-ion cell, hence it may pack a smaller 3,900mAh battery.

Now that’s an even smaller battery than the standard Galaxy S25’s 4,000mAh battery. For fast charging, the device will get 25W charging support, which is the same as the S25’s charging speed.

Performance-wise, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be a premium smartphone, which means it will pack a flagship chipset. Reports hint at the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for Galaxy, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.

Apart from this, the Galaxy S25 Edge will also have a good set of cameras. It is expected to feature a 200MP Sony ISOCELL HP2 main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide unit. Upfront, there will be a single camera. However, its details are unknown as yet.
