The much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 series was unveiled at last night’s Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event. With their improved features and AI capabilities, the flagship smartphones now promise an upgraded smartphone experience.
However, the event ended with a bang, with the brand teasing an upcoming addition to its wearables lineup – the Galaxy Ring. A brief teaser that unveiled the health and fitness tracker notified ardent fans about its availability in the near future.
Samsung Galaxy Ring: What's there to know?
The Galaxy Ring, as the name suggests, is a “cutting-edge” health-tracking smart ring that is to be worn on a finger to track your metrics. Samsung, in its presentation, went on to state how the ring is a “powerful and accessible health and wellness device” meant to change the face of future health.
According to the teaser, Samsung has included a bunch of AI features to track important health features. However, it didn’t reveal a lot of details except a sensor, which is typically used to capture heart rate and footsteps.

The motive of a ring is to have added flexibility to enjoy all the features offered by the Samsung Health app without being bound by a smartwatch. While there are other brands in the market today with similar offerings, the Galaxy Ring’s integration into the app may give it an edge. This means anyone with a Samsung smartphone or smartwatch will easily be able to keep on your health without a lot of intervention.
Samsung Galaxy Ring: When will it be available for purchase?
So far, there has been no word from Samsung on the Galaxy Ring prices or when it will be available for purchase. However, several reports suggest we might be able to see the smart ring alongside Samsung’s potential summer launch. Apart from this, a post published on social media has also confirmed that the Galaxy Ring will be available in 13 sizes and three finishes.
