Samsung recently announced several new devices at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event, including the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6. However, the new foldables weren’t the only announcements at the event. In fact the only new product at the launch that’s not an upgrade is the new Samsung Galaxy Ring – Samsung’s first ever smart ring.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring comes with plenty of tech in a form factor smaller than a coin, and a design that’s as good as invisible. Here’s all you need to know about the new Samsung Galaxy Ring.
Samsung Galaxy Ring: What’s new?
The Samsung Galaxy Ring comes in three colours – Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold. Unlike a lot of other smart rings that have launched in the past couple of years, the Samsung Galaxy Ring comes in nine different sizes, so everyone can have one that fits them exactly without compromises.

The Galaxy Ring comes is designed for 24×7 wearing, and Samsung claims the wearable can last for 7 days in a single charge. Samsung also states the Ring comes with Galaxy AI features, and the Ring uses a number of advanced algorithms to keep your fitness metrics in check, all in real-time.
The Galaxy Ring is designe to seamlessly integrate with the Samsung Health app and can continuously analyse your Sleep Score, heart rate, respiratory rate and more. It also comes with 10ATM water resistance. It also comes with a temperature sensor for measuring your body temperature. The Samsung Galaxy Ring also comes with its own charging case, that itself comes with LED indicators.
Other features include a double-pinch gesture that can let users control various aspects of their Galaxy smartphones, including taking and ending calls, controlling music playback, etc.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is priced at $399 (about Rs 33,300) and will be available in limited regions for now. Unfortunately, India is not on the list right now, but if you absolutely want a smart ring and are ready to let go of Samsung’s exclusive perks, you can also consider the BoAt Smart Ring or the Ultrahuman Ring Air S14, both of which come in cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Ring.
