Samsung Galaxy Book5 series with Galaxy AI launched in India

Amidst the hype surrounding AI PCs, Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Book5 series AI PC lineup in India consisting of the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro, Galaxy Book5 Pro 360, and Samsung Book5 360. The successors to the Galaxy Book4 series, the new laptops include a slew of AI features from Microsoft’s Copilot Plus Platform and its own Galaxy AI suite.

These new AI PCs from Samsung promise up to 25 hours of battery life and Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, with NPUs capable of performing demanding tasks.

Samsung Galaxy Book5 series price and availability

The Samsung Galaxy Book5 series is priced starting at Rs 1,14,990 in India. At this price, you can get your hands on the Galaxy Book5 360, while the Samsung Book5 Pro 360 model will set you back by Rs 1,55,990. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro is priced starting at Rs 1,31,990.

You can pre book any of these laptops starting today on Samsung’s website, select retail stores, and online e-commerce sites. The laptops will go on sale starting March 20. Users who pre book can also nab the latest Galaxy Buds3 Pro at just Rs 2,999.

Samsung Galaxy Book5 series specifications

Powered by the Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors,the Samsung Galaxy Book5 series of laptops are equipped with powerful NPUs capable of up to 47 TOPS (tera operations per second), which allows on-device Galaxy AI and Copilot Plus AI features to work smoothly.

The upgraded processors provide a 17 per cent GPU performance boost and a 16 per cent single-core CPU performance boost. The Lunar Lake processors deliver a 3x AI compute power boost and also are more power-efficient with 40 per cent lower power consumption compared to previous generations.

Thanks to the improved power efficiency, the Galaxy Book5 series has a battery life of up to 25 hours. The Book5 series also comes with fast charging. The Book5 Pro can charge to 41 per cent in 30 minutes.

The Book5 series houses Dynamic AMOLED 2x displays on the Pro models with 3K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. You also get Samsung’s Vision Booster technology which enhances visuals and colours. There’s also Dolby Atmos support on the quad speakers.

Samsung Galaxy Book5 series AI features

The Galaxy Book5 series will feature multiple Galaxy AI features that users have come to know and love on Galaxy smartphones. Features like AI Select and Photo Remaster will now be available on this Samsung AI PC lineup as well. Photo Remaster will allow users to enhance images on their Book5 laptops with AI. Moreover, the laptops will come with Google’s popular Circle to Search feature that allows you to instantly search and extract information.
