Samsung Galaxy Book3 series laptops launched: Everything you need to know

The Galaxy Unpacked event garnered a lot of attention, owing to Samsung’s highly anticipated new flagship line-up, the Galaxy S23 series. But it wasn’t all about the phones. The company also unveiled, what it claims, to be its most ambitious line-up of laptops yet. The Samsung Galaxy Book3 series consists of the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, Galaxy Book3 Pro, and the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra specifications, features

The top-of-the-line Galaxy Book3 Ultra comes in a single 16-inch size. It can be had with either an Intel latest Core i7-13700H or Core i9-13900H 45W processor, with up to 32GB RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD storage. The graphics processor options include the Nvidia RTX 4050 or the RTX 4070, with up to 8GB of VRAM.

The laptop features a 16-inch 16:10-aspect ratio Dynamic 2X AMOLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. The display can refresh adaptively from anywhere between 48Hz to 120Hz and reach a brightness level of 500 nits for HDR content. It packs a 76Wh battery with support for a 100W fast charging via a USB type C port.

The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra sports a fingerprint reader, a full-sized backlit keyboard, a precision trackpad along with a Full HD webcam. On the connectivity front, the laptop includes support for Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.1, along with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB 3.2 Type-A port, one HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro and Pro 360 specifications, features

The mid-range Galaxy Book3 Pro and Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 come with either 13th-gen Intel 28W Core i5-1340 processor, or a Core i7-1360P processor with either 8, 12 or 16GB of RAM. In terms of storage, there is a choice between 256GB, 512GB and 1TB SSDs.

While the Galaxy Book3 Pro 14-inch model has a 63Wh battery, the 16-inch Book3 Pro and Book3 Pro 360 have the same 76Wh as the Galaxy Book3 Ultra. Despite the differences in screen size, all three models feature the same AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and variable refresh rate of between 48Hz and 120Hz, as the Book3 Ultra.

The Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 comes with 5G connectivity support, and also supports the S Pen, which comes included in the box. All the new laptops come with a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support, and Windows 11 straight out-of-the-box.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 series availability

The Galaxy Book3 Ultra will be available in a singular 16-inch model in Graphite, while the Galaxy Book3 Pro will be available in 14-inch and 16-inch models, with Graphite and Beige colour options.
