Samsung brings AI to your laundry routine with Bespoke AI Laundry

Washing clothes for many is a mundane task. You put your clothes in the washer, throw in some detergent, choose the first quick setting, and you are done. Well, that won’t be the case anymore, as Samsung, as a part of their “Screens Everywhere” vision are bringing AI to their washers and dryers under the “Bespoke AI Laundry with AI Home” moniker.

Samsung had first announced their ‘Screens Everywhere’ vision at CES 2025. This new line of washers and dryers, not only adds to that vision, but also extends it further by bringing AI to these rather dumb products, making them smarter.

Samsung AI washing machines: Everything you need to know

The two products that have been launched by Samsung is the 27-inch-wide large capacity washer and dryer set, and the 24-inch-wide small capacity washer and dryer set. They have a 7-inch screen with AI Home.

The 27-inch machine can detect the colour and fabric of the clothing that you are putting in for wash, ensuring that the cycles are optimised to suit the same. The two technologies making this possible are AI Wash+ and AI Dry+.

You won’t have to worry about dialling in the settings for your wash cycles, as AI Wash+ will adjust the detergent levels, rinsing time, and wash settings, based on the detected fabric type, soil level and weight of the laundry.

Post that, AI Dry+ will take into account real-time temperature, weight and moisture content, reducing the drying inconsistencies, as claimed by the brand.

The smaller, 24-inch machine, misses out on the improved AI Wash+ and utilises AI Wash to elevate your washing experience. The dryer does get the upgraded variant, AI Dry+, ensuring you are getting a taste of the latest and greatest from Samsung. This machine also focusses on boosting the operational efficiency by utilising AI Dry+ to cut down the energy use by up to 10 per cent and drying time up to 15 per cent.
