Redmi Pad Pro 5G is the company’s latest affordable 12.1-inch tablet at Rs 25,000

Early today, Xiaomi took the wraps off its latest mid-range tablets for Indian users. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G, which was announced globally a month ago, is the brand’s latest offering and it comes with a 12.1-inch display and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. However, there’s a lot more in store for you if you’re in the market for a tablet as well. Check out its features, specifications and availability in detail below.

Redmi Pad Pro 5G: Key features to look out for

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G comes with a large, 12.1-inch 2.5K resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. It offers up to 600 nits of peak brightness and also gets a TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. Xiaomi has also equipped the Redmi Pad Pro 5G with Gorilla Glass protection.

As mentioned above, the tablet packs the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. Apart from this, it also gets up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with an option to expand up it up to 1.5TB via a microSD card. On the optics front, the tablet gets an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for video calls on the go. Tablets are sought after for entertainment, and the Redmi Pad Pro 5G comes with a quad-speaker setup and Dolby Atmos support for the same.

The tablet ships running on Xiaomi’s HyperOS operating system, and gets optional 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, as well as Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity. Lastly, it comes with a 10,000mAh battery which Xiaomi claims can last for up to 12 hours with video playback.

Apart from the Redmi Pad Pro 5G, Xiaomi also introduced the Redmi Pad SE, which gets an 8.7-inch HD LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The tablet comes with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. 

Redmi Pad Pro 5G: Price and availability

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G is available in two variants: Wi-Fi and 5G+Wi-Fi connectivity options. Users can purchase the Wi-Fi variant in Graphite Grey and Quick Silver colourways. The 5G variant also gets Mist Blue and Graphite Grey colour options.

The tablet’s price starts at Rs 21,999, while the Redmi Pad SE 4G has a starting price of Rs 10,999 and is available in Forest Green, Urban Grey, and Ocean Blue colours.
