Redmi Note 13 announced: Top features worth keeping an eye out for

It’s barely been two weeks since Redmi launched the Note 13 series in India. Now, the brand has taken the wraps off another variant in the same series, albeit in the international market. Called the Redmi Note 13 4G, this launch is presumably a bid to ensure that the Note 13 lineup of smartphones is available across various price points and suited to varied needs. Here are the top Redmi Note 13 4G features that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Design and display

The Redmi Note 13 4G sports a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness, making it great for streaming content, and gaming alike. General navigation on the phone also becomes a smooth, lag-free experience as a result of the same.

The screen is protected by the older Corning Gorilla Glass 3, but the device features an IP54 water and dust resistance rating, making sure it can handle the occasional unexpected rain or accidental spills and splashes in the gym with ease.

Cameras

Despite being the vanilla variant, the device sports a triple-camera setup on the rear, with a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera, making the phone suited to shooting in a variety of situations. On the front, you get a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Performance

The Redmi Note 13 4G is powered by a 2.6GHz octa-core Snapdragon 685 chipset, paired with an Adreno 610 GPU. It can be had in two storage variants – one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Backing the smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. This size means that the device should ideally last the average user all day with ease.

In addition to this, the 33W fast charging support also makes life easier for those who are on the move constantly, since it can charge the phone from zero to 50 per cent in 29 minutes, and from zero to 100 per cent in 70 minutes.

Operating system and updates

The Redmi Note 13 4G runs Android 13-based MIUI 14 straight out-of-the-box. What’s more, the brand has promised as many as three years of software updates and four years of security updates for the Note series.

As mentioned above, the Redmi Note 13 4G has currently been announced for the international markets with prices starting from USD 179 (approximately Rs 14,900). But there’s every chance that an India launch should be around the corner.
