Rockstar Games has good news for fans. No, we aren’t talking about GTA 6, but the original Red Dead Redemption, which finally has a release date for PCs. The game, along with its zombie-horror expansion, Undead Nightmare, will be coming to PCs nearly 14 years after its first release in 2010.
Notably, this remastered version is already available on consoles like PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. PC fans can finally play it later this month. Read on to learn about the game’s PC release date, features, and system requirements.
Red Dead Redemption PC release date, features
Red Dead Redemption and the Undead Nightmare expansion will launch on PC on October 29, 2024. The game will be available on PCs via the Rockstar Store, the Epic Games Store, and Steam.
While the original game launched nearly 14 years back, this upcoming PC game is a remastered version. The game’s pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, however, what’s revealed are its PC features. Let’s see what special treatment PC fans will get.
Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare are coming to PC with features like support for 4K resolution at up to 144Hz on compatible hardware. The game will be compatible with 21:9 Ultrawide and Super Ultrawide monitors. Further, it will also have HDR10 support.

Moreover, the game will have support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling technologies. There’s also support for NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, multiple shadow quality settings, and adjustable draw distance.

Steam has revealed the game’s minimum and recommended system requirements for PC.
Minimum System Requirements
– OS – Windows 10 64-Bit
– Processor – Intel Core i5-4670 or AMD FX-9590
– RAM – 8GB
– Graphics – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R7 360
– Storage – 12 GB of HDD or SSD storage
The recommended System Requirements, on the other hand, are as follows:
– OS – Windows 10 64-Bit
– Processor – Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500X
– RAM – 8GB
– Graphics – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD RX 5700 XT
– Storage – 12 GB of SSD storage
