The mid-range smartphone segment today seems to be flooded with a sea of options that have very little differentiation, at least on the spec sheet. Well, Realme has just unveiled its latest offering, which it hopes will truly stand out in the segment. Namely, the Realme Narzo 70 Pro.

To see if it does though, we put together a quick comparison of the device with the Redmi Note 13 5G and the Vivo Y200e 5G, the most recent and some of the most popular offerings in the segment currently. Read on.

The Realme Narzo 70 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. Coupled with a Mali G-68 GPU, the phone has 8GB of RAM and can be had with either 128GB or 256GB of storage space.

The Redmi Note 13 5G on the other hand, is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, coupled with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. While the processor is a bit of a downgrade, the phone is available with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, as well as either 8 or 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.

The Vivo Y200e 5G is the only one of three devices powered by a Qualcomm chipset. Namely, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. The device is available with 128GB storage, coupled to either 6 or 8GB of RAM. You can expand the storage on the device to as much as 1TB though, via a microSD card.

All three devices – the Realme Narzo 70 Pro, the Redmi Note 13 5G as well as the Vivo Y200e 5G pack a 5,000mAh battery under the hood. However, the Narzo 70 Pro gets support for 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. The Redmi Note 13 5G and the Vivo Y200e 5G support 33W fast charging and 44W flash charge technology respectively.

All three phones should last you all day with relative ease. However, each of them will take different amounts of time to charge if your phone is out of juice, which can make all the difference should you need access to it in a hurry.

The Realme Narzo 70 Pro gets a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both the Redmi Note 13 5G and Vivo Y200e 5G also get a marginally smaller 6.67-inch AMOLED screen. However, peak brightness, in the case of the former, is capped at 1,000 nits and 1,800 nits in the case of the latter. Both of them do, however, get a 120Hz refresh rate.

What truly sets the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G though, is the fact that it gets Air Gestures. These, in essence, let you navigate around the device without even touching it- a first in the segment. It also gets a Rainwater Smart Touch feature, which lets users easily navigate around the phone even when the screen is wet, by minimising ghost touches.

Coming to audio, the Realme Narzo 70 Pro and the Vivo Y200e 5G both get a dual-stereo speaker setup. The Redmi Note 13 5G on the other hand, missed out on a stereo speaker setup. However, it does get support for Dolby Atmos.

On the design front, all three phones get an IP54 water-resistant rating. The phones then, are pretty resistant, but not entirely impervious to the elements outdoors. However, what’s cool is, the Vivo y200e 5G gets an artificial leather back, which gives a phone an extremely premium appeal when compared to the other two.

On the other hand, the standout feature on the Redmi Note 13 5G is the IR blaster, which lets you control your ACs or TVs in the house using the device as a remote.

The Realme Narzo 70 gets a triple camera setup at the rear, with a 50MP primary Sony IMX890 sensor with support for OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 112-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front is a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The Redmi Note 13 5G has a slight advantage here, with a 108MP primary sensor, coupled to an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, again, is a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls, housed in a punch-hole cutout.

The Vivo Y200e 5G on the other hand, gets only a dual camera setup at the rear, with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP portrait sensor. On the front though, it gets a 16MP camera housed in a punch-hole cutout as well, the same as the other two devices.

Realme Narzo 70 Pro vs Redmi Note 13 vs Vivo Y200e: Pricing

The Realme Narzo 70 Pro is available in Glass Green and Glass Gold colourways, and is priced at Rs 19,999 for the 128GB storage model. The 256GB storage model, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 21,999.

Prices for the Redmi Note 13 5G on the other hand, start at Rs 17,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is available for Rs 19,999, and the 12GB RAM variant with 256GB storage, for Rs 21,999. The device is available in three colourways– Arctic White, Prism Gold and Stealth Black.

Finally, the Vivo Y200e 5G is available in Saffron Delight and Black Diamond colourways. It is priced at Rs 19,999 for the 6GB variant and Rs 20,999 for the 8GB RAM variant.
