Realme 12 Pro 5G, Realme 12 Pro+ 5G are mid-range phones with a liquid cooling system

Realme has just unveiled its two latest mid-range devices for the Indian market – the Realme 12 Pro 5G and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G. The two devices are the successors of the Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro+, respectively. Here’s all you need to know about Realme’s latest offerings in the Indian market.

Realme 12 Pro+ 5G features and key specifications

The Realme 12 Pro+ is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with an Adreno 710 GPU. It is available in three configurations – two with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, and one with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Under the hood is a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 67W fast charging via the USB Type-C port and the adapter provided in the box.

Coming to optics, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G gets a triple-camera set up at the rear, with a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor, a 64MP periscope telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom support, and an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor. On the front, is a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls. What’s cool is the camera has support for up to 120x digital zoom.

The Realme 12 Pro 5G, the cheaper of the two devices, is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, coupled with an Adreno GPU as well. The device can be had in two configurations – both with 8GB of RAM, with either 128GB or 256GB storage.

The Realme 12 Pro 5G also gets the same 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W SuperVOOC fast charging.

Speaking of cameras, the Realme 12 Pro 5G also features a triple-camera setup at the rear, albeit with a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor, a 32MP telephoto sensor, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the front is a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Realme 12 Pro 5G, Realme 12 Pro+ 5G: Other features to look out for

Both the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ 5G come with a 3D VC liquid cooling system, meaning they remain cool and continue to function smoothly during graphic-intensive gaming, or performing other demanding tasks such as photo or video editing.

The two devices sport a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2,412×1,080 pixels and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a screen-to-body ratio of 93 per cent, meaning the device has extremely thin bezels and a peak brightness of 950 nits. For audio, there is a dual-speaker setup on both devices with support for Dolby Atmos. Some other noteworthy design elements on the devices include a vegan leather back, a curved display, and also an IP65 water and dust resistance rating.

Both, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G and Realme 12 Pro 5G come running on Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 straight out of the box and get 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Dual-and Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB Type-C connectivity options.

Realme 12 Pro 5G, 12 Pro+ 5G pricing and availability

The Realme 12 Pro+ 5G is available in Submarine Blue, Navigator Beige, and Explorer Red colourways, and is priced at Rs 29,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 256GB storage variant with 8GB RAM is priced at Rs 31,999. The top-of-the-line variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 33,999.

On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro 5G is available in Submarine Blue and Navigator Beige options and is priced at Rs 25,999 for the 128GB storage variant, whereas the 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 26,999.

The phones can be pre-booked starting today, and will go on sale on February 6 at 12 PM IST. They can be purchased from Realme’s website, as well as from all other major e-commerce portalks and partner retail outlets across the country.
