About six months ago, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 for mid-range smartphones, and in about half a year, we already have a successor for phones in the segment that are yet to launch.
Meet the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, the companies new affordable mid-range chip, which sits just under the Snapdragon 8 and Snapdragon 7 series. Here’s all you need to know about it.

Qualcomm claims the new chipset is more powerful and efficient compared to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. These gains are thanks to the 4nm architecture on the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, which uses smaller 4nm transistors, which facilitates lower energy requirements for data transfer – in layman’s terms, less power for the same performance.
