Philips hair straightener launched with no-heat damage technology

Philips' NourishCare technology will allow you to style those locks minus the dreaded damage

Philips hair straightener launched with no-heat damage technology

Having a good hair day is not always on the cards for everyone, and a hair straightener is perhaps the only saving grace. But with perfectly styled hair comes the risk of heat exposure and, with that, damage. And, of course, heat-protecting solutions can only do so much for your hair.

To tackle this, Philips has introduced a new addition to its line of grooming products that is equipped to minimise heat damage effectively. The new Philips hair straightener, which comes with NourishCare technology, is not only designed to protect your hair but is also built to nourish it. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Philips NourishCare technology: What can it do?

The hair straightener comes with easy-to-clip-on heat-resistant brackets. This ensures there is no direct heat damage to the portion of hair being styled and in turn keeps it safe.

However, Philips has introduced first-of-its-kind replaceable serum strips that can be inserted into the straightener for added nourishment. The solution comes infused with popular healthy ingredients, like Vitamin E and Moroccan Argan Oil, along with Kerashine care, for an all-around styling experience.

The strips can be used only once and have to be used within a day of opening. The straightener comes with two replaceable serum strips, and users can purchase any more at Philips’ online store or across major e-commerce portals. There is still no possibility of adding any other serum apart from the one provided in the box.

Philips NourishCare hair straightener: Price and availability

The Philips hair straightener with NourishCare technology can be purchased online at the Philips store. However, the product will soon be available for purchase across other portals, including croma.com.

It will be available in three shades – purple, pink, green and lavender and is priced at Rs 3,795 based on the variant you choose. The replaceable serum strips can be purchased at Rs 400 for a pack of two. Other options within the range include BaByliss Corded 2-in-1 hair Curl and straightener and Panasonic Corded Hair Straightener.
