Perhaps what helped OnePlus stand out among other brands in its early days was the software, and OxygenOS has since been a core part of the OnePlus experience, especially since the brand moved beyond the flagship tiers. Now, OnePlus’ latest Android skin, OxygenOS 14, has started rolling out to a number of phones, and today, the update comes to some more mid-range devices.

OxygenOS 14: Which OnePlus phones are now getting the update?

OxygenOS 14 now brings Android 14 to the OnePlus 9 series, including both the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. The update is also rolling out to the OnePlus 9RT and the OnePlus Nord 2T.

With the OnePlus 11 series, and the OnePlus 10 Pro already getting the new update, only a few phones like the Nord 2 5G and the Nord CE series devices are yet to get a taste of OxygenOS 14, but we imagine that shouldn’t take too long either.

How to download the new update

The new OnePlus OxygenOS 14 software is available as a stable update for the OnePlus 9 series and the OnePlus Nord 2T. Hence, all users need to do is head into Settings > System > System Updates. You can hit the ‘Check for updates’ button here and see if a new card pops up with the OxygenOS 14 software.

If you do see a new card, simply tap on the ‘Download and Install’ button and proceed with on-screen instructions to download the update. Note that if you don’t see the update at once, you can try again after some time. Android software updates are often rolled out in batches, which mean not every user may get the update at the same time.

Users who don’t see the update, but are willing to update their phones manually, can also check out the official OnePlus support page for links to the software builds and instructions. Although these steps are a little more advanced, so for users who don’t want to go through the hassle, we recommend waiting for the official update, which should reach you later today, or in the next couple of days.
